The North Walsham Guide is voluntarily run by a small team of enthusiastic North Walsham people whose aim is to create the most comprehensive guide to North Walsham available ever! We want the North Walsham Guide to be interesting and not just a business directory or collection of information you could find for yourself on Wikipedia (which is largely inaccurate anyway!). The North Walsham Guide team are talking to real North Walsham people, people who have lived in and around North Walsham for generations. How do we know who these people are? Because we are some of them. This information aims to be straight from the horses mouth!
Why are we offering The North Walsham Guide for FREE?
We have a sincere interest in the welfare of North Walsham as it's the town in which we live and work. North Walsham is vastly under-represented on the internet which is a shame as the town has a rich history, beautiful architecture, a substantial population and a wide variety of organisations, shops, facilities and services. We would like to put North Walsham on the map!
Who is behind The North Walsham Guide?
Wayne - Programming & Design.
The website was originally created by Wayne as a hobby. Wayne's family have lived in the town for generations, he was born in North Walsham Cottage Hospital, schooled at Swanton Abbott Primary School and North Walsham High School. Went on to work at East Coast Plastics, Express Printing and now Beauchamp Partnership. Wayne has played in many North Walsham based bands and has had the opportunity to play alongside, and get to know most of North Walsham's well respected musicians. This guy is 100% North Walsham and proud of it!
Julie - Website Administration & Photography.
Lives and works in North Walsham. Originally from Aylsham Julie moved to North Walsham in 1989 where she has lived ever since. Julie is a well known face around North Walsham as the advertising salesperson for numerous North Walsham publications. She has worked for East Coast Plastics, Express Printing and Beauchamp Partnership but can now be found in Sainsbury's on the shop floor where she regularly gets to talk with everyday member's of the North Walsham public.
Daryl - Website Adminstration & Social Networking.
Daryl has lived all his life in North Walsham. Schooled at North Walsham High School, Daryl went on to help in North Walsham music shop, The Music Hut and then to be a member of North Walsham Woolworth's entertainment team, he is now working for Beauchamp Partnership, again in North Walsham! Daryl has also played for several popular North Walsham bands and is a very popular and sociable member of the North Walsham community.
