A brand new play written for Paston College Students
'Long Way to London' by Rob John will be at Sheringham Little Theatre on Friday May 28th at 7.30pm. Tickets £5 &£3
‘Long Way To London’ by Rob John is a thought provoking play about an economic migrant who dreams of making a better life in England. Rob John, recently retired Vice Principal and teacher of Performing Arts at Paston College, wrote the play for the very talented Black Box Theatre Company’s final major project. The students who are studying for a BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts will be heading off for universities and drama schools next year.
‘I was never lucky enough to teach these students when I was at Paston but I have seen much of their work and I’ve admired their development over the past two years. They are an extraordinarily talented group who work hard and seem to go from strength to strength. It’s been a real privilege to write for them‘.
Rob John has had three of his plays performed on Radio 4 and writes regularly for BBC Schools Radio. His latest works have been performed by David Tennant, Anne-Marie Duff and Sir Timothy West.
