North Walsham & District Community Archive was formally launched on the 5th June 2007 as part of the Norfolk ARCH Project, a joint project between the Norfolk County Council Cultural Services Departments of Adult Education, Libraries and Museums working in conjunction with the existing Archives, with the people of North Walsham and the surrounding villages and with its previous inhabitants wherever they may live now.
North Walsham & District Community Archive has become and independent group since then which has enabled us to branch out in different directions including our own website and a very successful facebook Group.
Meetings of the local group are held regularly in the town although attendance at the meetings isn't essential for adding contributions to the archive.
